CVHT is building six 2 bedroom/1- and 2-bath townhomes on Nixon Street in South Chelan for local wage earners making 120% Area Median Income or less. These homes will be finished by Fall 2023.
Located at 141 E. Nixon, the property was bought and sold to CVHT with a zero interest loan by Charlie and Debbie Guildner for the sole purpose of building attainable homes.

IOWA STREET HOMES
CVHT is building two 3 bedroom 2 bath homes on Iowa Street in South Chelan for local wage earners making 120% Area Median Income or less. These homes will be finished by Fall 2023.
CVHT bought these lots at market rate pricing at $134,000 and Guy Evans donated his $4,000 commission to the cause! Diane Leigh with Remax Chelan worked with Guy Evans with Guy Evans Real Estate to secure this property and helped with the purchase process.

CHELAN RIVER HEIGHTS
Chelan River Heights is 9.15 acres surrounded by views of the Butte, Stormy Mountain, and the Chelan River Gorge. The land is owned by Chelan Valley Housing Trust and located at 38 Anderson Road. This property will be developed into up to 45 mixed income homes with a small community feel. While still in initial design and pro-forma phases, CVHTs vision for Chelan River Heights would be to serve attainable home ownership to local wage earners in the Chelan Valley in a setting that matches the agricultural and aesthetic beauty of the town. We will accomplish this by using designs that match the Chelan Valley aesthetic and feel, creating open and walkable space that makes sense for the community, and utilizing public grants, private funding, and community fundraising to reach the target pricing goals that will actually make homes attainable for our community.

EMERSON VILLAGE
Our very first neighborhood! Located at the corner of North Emerson Street and East Chelan Avenue, this new community of five townhomes has been built and sold to income qualified buyers to show our community and funders that attainable homes can really be built!
The existing 1950’s home originally built on the double lot was demolished in November 2019 by way of a Fire Department controlled burn and practice. Groundbreaking for Emerson Village happened in June 2019. The homes were designed by Forte Architects of Wenatchee and built by K&L Homes in Chelan. Each of the 1179 square foot townhomes are two-story, with two bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Parking provided onsite as well as on the street.
Homes are currently all SOLD to community members that make our Valley a special place. These folks support our local agriculture, restaurants, government, and community with their hard work and commitment to Chelan and now we’ve returned the favor!
Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to raise the roof on attainable housing. During the build-out of Emerson Village we relied on our Chelan village a lot and can’t thank our countless community members and volunteers enough for making this “impossible” build into a dream come true!
