We are asking those who love our valley to consider making an investment in the future of the community. The Chelan Valley Housing Trust needs funding for the subsides necessary to build affordable homes for our community’s wage earners. Your donation becomes a permanent investment in the community and is tax deductible. To donate, click here.

Become a voting member of the Chelan Valley Land Trust. Have a say in what CVHT builds and provides the community! CVHT Membership is comprised of 3 types: Residential Members (anyone who holds a lease with CVHT), General Members (general community members, $25 annually), and Institutional Members (appointed representatives by corporations, LLCs or municipal bodies to represent our institutions, $250 annual per representative). If you’re not sure, come to a Board meeting and check us out! (See our meeting schedule here.)

You’re invited you to attend board and membership meetings. (Click here for the current schedule of our meetings.)

Volunteer for a special project, like marketing, organizing, work days, or whatever fits into your life.

Gift Property

If you own surplus or underutilized property in the Chelan / Manson area, please consider deeding it or selling it at below market pricing to the CVHT. Donating your land offers you an income tax deduction for its full appraised value, lets you avoid any capital gains taxes, and eliminates property taxes on that parcel. Selling your land at below market pricing gives you income from the sale plus the tax-reducing benefits of a donation, while eliminating property taxes on that parcel. In addition, if your land is zoned for multiple units, you can donate it and live in one of the units the Trust builds on the land AT NO COST TO YOU, TAX-FREE FOR LIFE—or assign this right to a child or grandchild. Finally, you’ll make a difference in someone’s life. Land cost represents one third of the cost of creating housing. Your donation will help make an affordable home for some deserving member of the community. To find out more, please email or call Rachael Goldie at 425-275-2002.
